REQUIRED for all students.  Low attendance to group class will result in dismissal from the studio. Minimum 75%
attendance is required.

STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 12 MUST HAVE A PARENT WHO ATTENDS LESSONS WITH THEM TO TAKE NOTES
AND HELP THEM PRACTICE AT HOME.  Bring violin, music, practice notebook (to write down weekly assignments), and
shoulder rest to every lesson.  Daily practice is essential to playing the violin.  Consistently unprepared students will be
dismissed from the studio.

Payments are due at the beginning of each semester (by August 26 and January 6).  $375 per semester.
Late payments will not be tolerated.  Rental instruments are $10 per month.  If lessons are discontinued, a refund for the
remaining months will be given.

Lesson Etiquette
All lessons are taught in my home, please respect it.  If you arrive early, you may wait quietly in the studio observing the
lesson before you.  Also, full attention at lessons is necessary (from student AND parent) please arrange to leave other
children at home or bring something quiet to keep them occupied.

Make-Up Lessons
Make-up lessons are not given.  You will receive a lesson schedule with times, names and phone #s and will have the
opportunity to trade lessons with other students.   Please allow as much notice as possible to trade.  You do not need to call
me if you trade with another student, but please call or e-mail if you will be absent.

Group Concerts
Group concerts are required.  One will be in December and one will be in May scheduled far in advance to ensure 100%
attendance.  Absence from group concerts will result in dismissal from the studio.

Schedule
The monthly schedule will be posted in the studio and on the website.  You are responsible for keeping track of when there
are lessons and when there are not.

Concert Attendance
It is important for students to hear and experience advanced levels of playing to understand what all their practicing can lead
to and to motivate practice and development.  Symphony concerts, free symphony rehearsals, recitals and chamber -music
concerts will be announced and posted in the studio and on the website. Attend at least TWO professional concerts
throughout the year.

Summer
All students must take a
minimum of four private lessons (or pay the equivalent $80) AND at least one workshop or camp
between May 30 and August 12, to keep up skills and progress and maintain their spot in the studio. Examples of workshops
and camps are: Suzuki String Camp, Advanced String Camp, an out of town Suzuki Institute (some close ones are
Albuquerque, Salt Lake, Beaver Creek), Hummingbird Music Camp, or Conservatory Music in the Mountains in Durango.
